  • new chapbook: self portrait as several clusters of stars, my first CNF chapbook, is out now with Bottlecap Features

  • interview: i did the “40 But 10” interview series with The Next Best Book Club

  • i got a boob! (a best of our bullshit award from Bullshit Lit).

notes

i’ve come to really appreciate the chapbook as a jumping off point. there’s something about working in an abbreviated space that allows me to really explore concept in a way that i also found with photobooks and zines. my new CNF chapbook is fairly conceptual, and i recently finished writing another concept chapbook of poetry that i’m in the early stages of sending out. i’m not sure exactly what my next foray into a short hybrid publication will look like, but i’m excited for it. something visual feels like it might be bubbling.

also, unrelated, but a huge thanks to everyone who supported my name change raffle! i raised the money too quickly to put it in my newsletter, and i am excited to both change my name and get my entire collected works into someone’s hands!

sneak peek

i’m dropping a little zine tomorrow on itch.io called nightmarescape! here’s a spread from it.

A starry night sky with a blurred void in the center of the image. In the top left corner, white text reads “why does the heart beat / faster when you fear it will / explode at a moment’s / notice? why does it / flutter at the thought / of its own demise?” In the bottom right, white text reads “i shudder in the void; / i vow to take care.”

friends

  • call: the minison zine is open for their 17th issue, minigames, until March 31

  • release: Stanchion released their first book, The Woman’s Part by Jo Gatford

  • and also: fifth wheel press is open until February 28 for a themed digital anthology, come sail away
