holy books, batman. when i started working on all these projects, i didn’t think they’d all come out at the same time! it’s been a busy time, but also a total blessing (yeah, i’m cheesy) to see how everyone is responding to my new releases. and of course, i’m still working—i’ve got my focus on my thesis book coming out next spring, and a few other things out on sub that i hope to tell you about soon.
published poem: “in which i write myself backwards” in The Elpis Letters anthology edited by Kayla King
published poems: “fraise sauvage” and “nothing compares to a quiet evening alone” in Corporeal Lit
published poems: “livewire,” “my body’s looking wrong,” “riverdoll,” and “self portrait as boneless girl” in Corporeal Lit (feature 2: electric boogaloo)
published poem: “hospital mashed potatoes” in body fluids, issue 3: suspended
published poem: “survival as tonya harding” in The Minison Project/Moss Puppy Magazine’s Pop-up Pride Issue
a reminder: random access memory, inside baseball, and nat raum burns in hell! are all available for purchase/download from their respective publishers! (and as an aside, if you’re interested in any of my other books, i link them all on my homepage.)
speaking of RAM: i went on #SundaySweetChats with Charles K. Carter last week and talked about all things random access memory. i wrote a bit about the book in a recent Substack post, but i really dive deep into the process during this interview, and it was a great conversation. many thanks to Charles for having me!
and finally: my sound map-inspired chapbook, foundwaves, was picked up by Naked Cat Lit and drops very soon! more info to come!
notes
baltimore, i’m cognizant of how i’m releasing this during what would normally be artscape weekend. and while i’m glad i don’t have to wade through a street full of people to get to work this weekend, part of me will always be a little nostalgic for the part of my life where i worked the entire festival behind a bar. but i also think i’ve let go of that person in a lot of ways—largely prompted by writing you stupid slut, which celebrated its first birthday on July 15. and as for artscape, well… i guess we’ll see what september brings?
sneak peek
i’ve long had an idea to illustrate some of the wild street names i encounter when i drive down to southwestern virginia to visit family every summer. so i’m finally working on a mini zine concept! here are a few of the doodles i’ve been working on.
