notes
i’ve taken a noticeable break from writing recently, in that i’m not producing at the rate i have for the last several years. i think this is actually okay in just about every way, as writing (particularly writing poetry and nonfiction) is inherently tied to processing difficult emotions for me. the lack of consistent engagement with my poetry practice especially is indicative that i have both distanced myself from a number of stressors in my life and that i have learned how to better exist with these emotions.
but that doesn’t mean i’m not writing at all. i’ve played a bit with flash fiction in the last few weeks especially, which is a form i’ve never meaningfully explored. i’ve also been engaging more with editing projects, which is flexing my skills in a different way. (this is another shameless reminder that i am open for freelance projects, including beta reading and in-depth feedback on both poetry, prose, and hybrid work.) ultimately, things are evolving for me in a way that is making it easier to exist peacefully in the day-to-day.

the part where i ask for money
paid subscriptions for my substack page are open. while the pool will always be 100% free, i do not have a full-time job/steady income and appreciate any support i’m able to get right now.
if you’d prefer not to ferry your money through substack (i get it), you can also set up a recurring donation on ko-fi or send me a tip (scroll to the bottom of the page for payment links). monthly subscriptions start at just $5 and are only $50 for the year.
