way back when, some friends and i were floating the idea of a collaborative queer horror poetry project. that tapered off due to scheduling commitments, but i kept the idea i’d had and continued to write around it. nat raum burns in hell! was then born.
inspired heavily by Jennifer’s Body (2009) and Carrie (1976), this microchapbook draws on my experience of abuse, sexuality, and slut-shaming in high school. nine horror-inspired poems delve into the experience of growing up a cisgender woman.
